Sand and fine shingle

Ventnor beach

Medium sized beach. Ideal for families but water sports are not recommended due to hidden rocks. Pretty, commercialised Esplanade with a handful of cafe's, pubs, beach shops, and Victorian hotels. Car parking is on The Esplanade or at the medium sized car park at the end above The Spyglass Inn, all pay and display. Short but steep walk to Ventnor town.

Looking towards The Spyglass Inn, which used to be a Hotel at one point and dates from 1830. Ventnor Paddling Pool Ventnor's free paddling pool and adjacent cafe, toilets are in the very foreground with their natural plant roof. Ventnor's beach huts Possibly half of the beach pictured here looking towards The Spyglass Inn with pay & display car park above it. Ventnor Cascade gardens Ventnor Cascade walk with new railings, just beyond the Cascade gardens with a small waterfall and just around the curve towards the top the roof of the wishing well can be seen. On the far right with a great view out is The Winter Gardens. Nice for a short stroll.
