The Culver Haven

Spectacular views from this isolated and quiet location. Medium sized two roomed pub with a small conservatory facing Sandown Bay one way and Whitecliff Bay/Bembridge Harbour the other both some considerable distance below, outdoor seating. Can be difficult to find.

If the weather is very poor do check that the pub is open to avoid venturing out and disappointment. Free large Car Park just beyond the pub, nice views in both directions from here and there is remains of a fort here as well as Culver Down Monument. Culver Down Monument An obelisk in memory of Charles Anderson Pelham, Earl Yarborough, 1780 - 1846, the monument was on top of Bembridge Down but was moved in 1867 to its present location.
